Caralynn's Health

We got Caralynn’s test results back from her A1C (blood draw) and all is well. Her levels are a bit elevated but she is ok and still in the “normal” range. The urinalysis came back positive for elevated PH and white blood cells so an antibiotic will help. The combination of UTI, Ear infection, Yeast infection and lack of sleep are all contributing factors to her just feeling “off.” We consulted with the Dr. who suggested we help Caralynn by offering small “meaningful” meals and snacks often throughout the day. Thank you for all the prayers and thoughtful messages! So relieved that she is not at risk for blood sugar problems at this point.

 Caralynn did awesome having her blood drawn this morning. She cried as I held her tightly (thanks for the advice Whitney) she was scared and nervous but didn’t move. So proud of her bravery! We visited with a child life specialist and did crafts. We are just waiting to see her ENT to check on her ear that she had surgery on a few weeks ago. It has been giving her trouble. 

Saw the ENT for a follow up and it looks like her infection isn’t responding to medication or clearing up on it’s own. The infection is eating through her bone. The Dr. is going to make a decision next week. He wants to go in and cut out her bone and reconstruct part of her ear. He may take a few biopsies of bone and tissue while he is in there. Please pray for our brave girl. This ear has been a nightmare and the source of A LOT of tears.

Primary Program

Best Sunday of the Year! It’s Primary Program day:) This calls for a mandatory sibling picture😊. Listening to the little children sing and speak of the love of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ makes my heart swell.

Rocktoberfest

ROCKtoberfest was great! Such a fun time with great friends:) We look forward to hosting this party every year. So many delicious Root Beers to taste. 15 different brands this year with unique flavors. Thanks for a fun night everyone!!
