Therapy Rats

 “Therapy Rats?” Is there such a thing? In this family, there is! Since getting the rats, Caralynn has not been struggling behaviorally. She is calmer, more relaxed, isn’t sensory seeking AS MUCH and her need to “chew” on anything and everything has greatly decreased. She is so much more content and spends lots of time during the day tending to then. Tobias is such an easy going and sweet creature. He has an old soul and genuinely enjoys Caralynn’s company. He trusts her. He will sit with her while she watches a movie or does her summer school work for hours. He will happily sit on her shoulder while she plays and even went on an hour long bike ride last night. Riding on her shoulder as she rode her bike at full speed down the trail hill. We jokingly said he needed his own little helmet then found this one in her my little pony toy bin. Oscar admittedly doesn’t get snuggled as often. We refer to him as “toby’s buddy” because he keeps Toby company when Toby’s in his cage. We love both of these babies and they are fun to have around. They are like little puppies and get excited when they see us. They love getting treats and seem to enjoy all of the attention we give them.

Carrigan Playdate

 Thanks for inviting us to hang out. Dinner was delicious and kids loved the time together. 

 We had a great day! 4th of July Festivities included a BBQ, s’mores and fireworks with friends and family:) This year was a little different and staying home doing our own fireworks was really great. Anderson said he missed the big firework display at Oak Hills but being home together was fun too. Emmalee was NOT a fan. Poor baby:( She was unsure, nervous and scared so I brought her inside. We tried to watch from the window. There are several videos of her clinging to me with her death grip but I’ll spare you. Maybe she will not be so freaked out next year. Poor little sensitive squish. I ended up just putting her to bed. Sweet girl. All in all, it was a great day! Thanks for spending the day with us Michelle. Dave and Karisa, thanks for bringing yummy sides and that dessert was seriously delish!!!! Our kids had such a great night. Love being able to make memories.

Baby Lander

 Lander and Emmalee met for the first time:) She thought he was pretty special! She was very interested in him;) At 2 months old, Lander and Emmalee are about the same size and weigh the same. Hahaha. I was impressed with how gentle she was considering she has not been around a baby younger than her. Such a fun visit!
