 Emmalee got her glasses:) I wasn’t sure she could get any cuter! I was wrong! Oh my goodness!

Caralynn's Bowel Infection

Caralynn was ill for several days. puking and nauseated. High fevers were keeping her down and out. I decided after the third day to take her in and they found that she had a kidney, bowel and urinary tract infection. Poor girl.

Genetic Appointment

We received some news about Emmalee. We had Emmalee Genetically Tested. The Geneticist confirmed our fears and concerns. Emmalee has a neurological disorder. More information will be unfolding as her tests come back with more details. What we know now is that Emmalee has Type 1 Myotonic dystrophy.
Myotonic Dystrophy is a type of Muscular Dystrophy. It is a Congenital disease.
Currently, there is no cure. We will be seeking further help with
Supportive care and available therapies.
As always, we will keep fighting for Emmalee. She is a miracle and has such a sweet and special spirit. Thank you for all the support and love. Please keep praying for her and us as we navigate through this difficult diagnosis. We don’t want this diagnosis to define Emmalee. We know that Emmalee accomplishes things on her own time and this diagnosis is just a piece of the puzzle. This puzzle piece will help us support her and guide her. In the end, Emmalee will write her own story.
