Emmalee's Surgery

 Emmalee is out of surgery:) Everything went well. She is struggling with pain and having trouble waking up. When she is awake, she is very upset and thrashing around and inconsolable. They called me back to the recovery room to be with her since they couldn’t calm her. She has been given more sedation meds to help her recover more gradually. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes! Her endoscopy went well. She still has tracheomalacia. Her nose and sinuses are all clear of any abnormalities. Her adenoids were covering 3/4ths of her airway so those got removed. Her right ear was red and inflamed. Tubes were placed. Her tonsils had shrunk with antibiotics so they left those alone. We are settled in our room. She is resting comfortably in my arms. Hoping to get out of here by this evening.

Blowing this popsicle stand! She would not settle and she was in such a bad mood. Boy is this girl sensitive! Don't look at her sideways or try and take away her bag of fishy crackers. Such a drama Queen! She is so loopy. She can’t stand up and when she tries she just gives up and rolls onto her back. She is content to just roll around and lay with daddy. Happy to be home to rest and snuggle the night away. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers

These pictures pretty much sum up our day. Emmalee has spent very few moments “upright” since coming home from the hospital. She is super wobbly and unsteady on her feet and would much rather be “down” sitting or laying. If this continues tomorrow, I will be putting in a call to her doctor. She hasn’t “bounced back” like I expected she would. I’m not overly concerned yet. She is extremely sensitive to noise and must have mama within arms reach. We are taking advantage of the snuggles for sure but I just want my happy and healthy baby back. Thanks for the continued prayers and well wishes. We are both still extremely tired.

Family Pictures

Family Time is the Best Time! My heart is so full! We have soaked up as much family time today with Family Breakfast, Family pictures, dinner and games. Emmalee and I check into Randall Children’s Hospital early tomorrow morning for her surgery. Can’t wait to get it over with so we can get on with the Christmas festivities with family who are trickling into town. Content to just relax and spend tome together. Prayers for a smooth next several days would be awesome.

"All I Want for Christmas Party"

Karisa and I decided to throw a party that encompassed all our festive favorites! Cookie exchange, ornament exchange, ugly sweaters, a potluck topped off with a fun “favorite” things” gift exchange:) Everything was perfect! Amazing food, gifts, friends and fun! Thanks for a fun night ladies!

Prince of Peace

Caralynn’s class had a Birthday Party for Jesus:) They wore pajamas, had hot cocoa and marshmallows, frosted a birthday cake for Jesus and ate it after they sang Happy Birthday to Him. They also made candy cane ornaments, went to Chapel, acted out the nativity and played musical chairs.

Bend

 Such a fun weekend in Bend! These boys have the other half of our hearts! We had so much fun together. 

Surgery Bound

 Surgery bound with this sweet bundle! Poor baby saw the specialist today and is scheduled for ear tubes, adenoid removal, nasal and throat endoscopy, nasal polyps removal and possible tonsillectomy. Merry Christmas to us! Emmalee, you sure do keep us on our toes but we are so blessed.
