CAMPING BUDDY BADGE
Daisy Girl Scouts field trip out to Gaston for our camping buddy badge. We also included an astronomy badge while we were at it. The girls had so much fun working together to set up camp. They communicated really well and had so much fun. The girls made UV bracelets. The beads change color when it’s time to re-apply your sunscreen. GENIUS! We made Gorp (trail mix) and learned about the constellations, star signs, their stories and made a star chart. The girls tore down camp and learned about how to roll or stuff and put away different types of sleeping bags. They also learned how to fold and out away a tent. We talked about “leaving no trace” and getting the gear into the car. We had such a great evening on the Rupp’s farm. The goats, sheep and curious chicken’s (over 50 chickens and they all have names 🤪) made for a memorable night.

Daisy Derby
DAISY DERBY!!! We had such a fun evening with our Daisy Girl Scouts! The girls have been so diligent. This project has taken them over a month to complete from start to finish! They first had to build their car, then paint it and finally tonight, they raced their Derby cars. We had yummy snacks and all kinds of awards, trophies and medals. What an amazing group of girls I have. I’m the luckiest leader ever!
